Interactive Training Programs for Running and Multisport

A training program is a working plan that must take into account the principals of training and improve the components of fitness that are specific to your sport and to you as an individual. Just as importantly it needs to be realistic and flexible to fit in with your lifestyle and commitments.

I don't believe in handing out programs that cover huge numbers of weeks at a time as people progress at different rates and lifestyle/family commitments always change. This can make the majority of the program redundant and irrelevant. I have found that a 4 week block of training program is a good way to achieve relevant, realistic and up to date information to maximize your training progress.

How it Works

Start Up Consultation:

These consultations are crucial to setting up a personalized, specific, realistic training program for you. I recommend them for all new clients. Prior to the consultation you will be sent a list of questions covering your background, commitments, lifestyle, training aspirations, medical history etc. This information will form the basis of our discussion and give you a chance to think about your goals, make a list of your own questions and help you get the most out of our meeting. It will also help you decide which training program option is best for you.

You Will Receive:

  • Initial Consultation
  • Summary of consultation meeting that includes advice on areas that were discussed
  • Build Up Event Suggestions ?????
  • Follow Up to discuss your long term plan and go through your first 4 week program
  • Periodised plan
  • Training log with information on how to utilize it
  • Nutritional Guidelines for Training and Competition
  • Follow up discussion after your first week of training
  • Additional information on any areas that were discussed

(This is a one-off cost and is free to returning clients)

You then have two options regarding support for your training Programs:

Gold Track Training Program, Support and Progress Review:

Ideal For: When you first start working with me, are new to training, require detailed information on places to carry out your training or require a multi-disciplined training program. This level of support is also valuable during the final weeks before your main target event or if you struggle for motivation.

  • 4 week Training Program including suggestions on where to train, training session type, length and intensity.
  • Training Program Support available anytime via phone or email.
  • Weekly Training Progress Review - You email me your training log every week. I will call you once a week to discuss your progress, provide appropriate feedback and advice, answer any questions and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Race Preparation Plans for your Target Events
  • Post race analysis
  • Transition Plans

Silver Track Training Program, Support and Progress Review:

Ideal For: Experienced athletes requiring training guidance for their target events. Athletes that are in a base endurance phase of their periodisation plan and do not struggle with motivation.

  • 4 week Training Program including training session type, length and intensity.
  • Training Program Support available anytime via email.
  • Training Progress Review will occur at the end of the 4 week block. Email me your training log and I will assess your progress and give you appropriate feedback and advice.

It is possible to change between the two training program support options. For example you may wish to start with Gold Track, then once you are comfortable with your training progress swap to Silver Track, then go back to Gold Track in the last weeks leading up to your Main event.
