Training Programs

Having a coach can help you achieve your performance goals whether you are just starting out and want to complete an event, have a PB in mind or are after a podium placing.

I have experience in coaching clients participating in:

  • Running Events: 5km, 10km, half marathon, marathon & ultramarathons
  • Duathlon & Triathlon: mini events, Sprint distance, half ironman, full ironman
  • Multisport: Single Day & Multi day events
  • Rogaine & Adventure Racing: 2, 3, 6, 12, 24hr & multi-day events

I believe that a specific program with regular interaction is important for achieving the most out of coaching. With this in mind I tend to write programs in 3 or 6 week blocks depending on what stage in the program clients are at and have weekly email reviews on how your training is progressing along with a 3 or 6 weekly skype for a more in depth catch up before the next block of training is written.

Initially I get you to fill in an information gathering form for some backgound information on your health, fitness, available time for training, goals etc. This helps me & you identify & prioritise what you want to get out of the coaching. We then meet up or skype to go through this information before I write the first program. (3 weeks).

I did the Pier to Pier 5km race and did by PB of 22.50.  That is 1.30min faster than I have ever run before.5k is not really my distance.  I think I just start to warm up at 5k and I am better at 10k.You are an amazing trainer.Thank you so much.

Thanks heaps Karen. I felt pretty silly when we first meet and I was telling you my goals and I wanted to break 3hrs and get top 3 in this race. I was pretty sure I could do it, but always sounds funny to hear those things aloud. Thanks heaps for all your help!
